Sim-Lab, best known for its aluminum-profile chassis, is venturing into a new category with the GTSL Pro, its high-end GT steering wheel. Pre-orders are now open for 549 euros, down from the regular price of 599 euros, and the first deliveries are scheduled for the first week of August 2026. This is sure to round out a 100% in-house setup for Sim-Lab rig owners—and attract interest beyond that as well.
An all-aluminum and carbon-fiber GT steering wheel
The GTSL Pro features a 300-mm inverted D-shaped wheel and weighs 1,580 grams. Its construction reflects the brand’s commitment to mechanical excellence: an all-aluminum body and a carbon-fiber front plate, with removable silicone grips. This is clearly a GT-oriented steering wheel, not an F1 steering wheel replica.
In terms of controls, it’s fully equipped: 12 backlit buttons, 6 rotary encoders that can be switched between encoder mode and switch mode, and two 7-way mini-sticks. Controls are handled via dual-rocker magnetic shift paddles and dual clutch paddles, providing everything needed to manage standing starts and clutch control.

LEDs everywhere, but no screen
For in-race information, Sim-Lab opted for an all-LED display rather than a screen. The GTSL Pro features 16 RGB LEDs controlled by telemetry and a tachometer bar in a 3-8-3 configuration. Including the button lighting, the brand reports a total of up to 114 LEDs. However, there is no built-in dashboard: gear-shift information is displayed via the tachometer bar.
Customization is powered by the included RaceDirector software, which allows you to reassign the rotary controls, adjust the LED colors, and fine-tune the RPM bar. The steering wheel is also SimHub-compatible, which is great news for those who want to sync the LEDs and displays with their game telemetry.
What to Look for Before Pre-Ordering
Two points are worth noting. First, the connectivity: the GTSL Pro is wired, using a 7-pin industrial connector connected to a USB cable. No wireless option here. Second, compatibility: the steering wheel is designed for PCs only and mounts on standard 70 mm bases. Console gamers will therefore have to pass on this one.
Priced at 549 euros for pre-orders, the GTSL Pro is positioned in the high-end GT steering wheel market. The value is best judged in use, but the package makes sense for those who already own a Direct Drive PC base and a Sim-Lab cockpit and want to stay within the brand’s ecosystem, with consistent build quality and assembly from the chassis to the steering wheel. With deliveries set to begin in August, we’ll have to wait to assess how it feels in the hands, the readability of the RPM gauge, and the sturdiness of the magnetic paddles.
