The Thrustmaster T300RS steering wheel has been designed for both Playstation users and those who prefer to play on PC.

The size of the wheel fits both adult and child hands, male or female.

We recommend this wheel to all fans of simulation games, such as Assetto Corsa, rFactor or Project CARS. Indeed, this model really makes sense with this type of game where it combines finesse and precision.

Experienced riders, however, may be a little disappointed with the two-pedal crankset on this model.

Its advantages

The Thrustmaster T300RS may have been released 8 years ago, but it is still one of the best steering wheels in its range thanks to the many advantages it offers.

In our opinion, one of the biggest assets of this model is its very realistic and accurate force feedback. Despite its age, with this model, you will not be confronted with latency problems. The force feedback is very fluid and hyper reactive thanks to its brushless motor. The sensations provided during the game make you feel like a real racing driver and will encourage you to spend hours playing.

We appreciated the quality of the finish and design of this steering wheel. The steering wheel is mostly made of black metal and the finish work is really clean. With the addition of the rubber texture that covers a large part of the steering wheel and offers a very good grip, it makes the T300RS look like a professional driver’s wheel.

We know the reputation of the Thrustmaster brand for offering steering wheels designed with very good quality materials that are made to last. This model is no exception. It is robust and will give you long hours of play, guaranteed.

In addition, the wheel of the Thrustmaster T300RS steering wheel is interchangeable, which we think is a real asset. In addition to gaining longevity, you have the ability to customize your setup for your favorite types of racing. This model is compatible with Thrustmaster extensions, which gives you a very wide choice.

This model of steering wheel also has the advantage of being compatible with Playstation 4 and PC and work with Playstation 5 games. Under Playstation license, the settings are simple, but for the PC, you also have a very complete driver that allows you to refine the settings, including the limit of rotation and the intensity of force feedback.

Being able to modulate the angle of rotation of the Thrustmaster T300RS is also a real positive point. It can go up to 1080° and modulating this angle gives you the ability to make adjustments during the race to achieve the ideal angle for steering, cornering, etc. This provides even more realism during the game.

Its disadvantages

While we found the Thrustmaster T300RS steering wheel to have many positive points, it does have a few drawbacks.

First of all, we have to admit that we were disappointed by the pedalboard of this model. Unfortunately, only a 2-pedal kit is included with the Thrustmaster T300RS. The base is plastic, only the pedal pads are metal and we found it seriously lacking in stability.

There is very little adjustment possible, you can only move the pads up and down and left and right. However, it is possible to add a 3-pedal kit and connect the official Thrustmaster shifter, although this involves a significant additional cost.

The price of the T300RS steering wheel is another of its drawbacks. The cost of this model is quite high since its base price is still 349.99 €. It is true that this is justified by the quality of the materials used and its many advantages, but it is not a wheel that everyone can afford to buy anyway.

One last point that slightly disappointed us was the engine noise. We feel that the Thrustmaster T300RS is 8 years old, that it is not the most recent model on the market and that the technology it is equipped with is not necessarily the latest. The long sessions are felt as well as the belt notches when you tend to turn the wheel very slowly.

Where and for how much to get it?

The Thrustmaster T300RS steering wheel is available for sale at €349.99 on the brand’s official website.

However, you can benefit from certain promotions, depending on the period, on,

Like most steering wheels on the market, the Thrustmaster T300RS can be found on second-hand websites. However, we recommend that you pay close attention to the terms of the steering wheel to avoid scams, if you decide to buy your model used.

If you’re looking for a rugged, realistic steering wheel and you can afford it, you can’t go wrong with the Thrustmaster T300RS. This model guarantees pure pleasure.

With a force feedback that is precise and powerful, its maximum rotation at 1080° and its beautiful design, the sensations felt during the race areincredibly realistic. We guarantee that even though its crankset leaves something to be desired (see our ranking of the best cranksets here), you’ll quickly forget about its drawbacks once you’re in the race with this little gem.

All the positive reviews of the Thrustmaster T300RS do not deceive, it is a steering wheel that deserves to be purchased. If you had any doubts about it, don’t hesitate anymore!
