The Fanatec Clubsport V2.5 base offers in our opinion the best sensations ofs biggest asset by far. Its force feedback is both powerful and refined, thanks to its many settings and of course to its engine and integrated technologies. The power of this base is really mastered and so full of detail that it really does offer the best in terms of feel, on many levels.

As mentioned above, the customization of the Fanatec’s Clubsport V2.5 base customization is fantastic. You can adjust the intensity of vibrations in the steering wheel, simulate ABS vibrations, customize the force feedback feeling by changing the spring, force effects and damping forces, etc. In addition, there is a drift mode, which reduces the mechanical strength. This allows the wheel to turn more freely like in a rally car.

The Fanatec Clubsport V2.5 base also has the advantage of offering a robust construction. Its finishes and materials used are impeccable, both inside and out. In addition to giving it an elegant and solid style, we believe it is a real guarantee of quality and longevity.

Its disadvantages

While our test has shown us the positive points of the Fanatec Clubsport Wheel Base V2.5, it has also revealed the disadvantages of this model.

If the Fanatec Clubsport V2.5 base offers a wide compatibility for the wheels, it’s unfortunately not the same thing with the platforms. Indeed, this model does not work on PlayStationWhatever the steering wheel you use (Don’t hesitate to read our article on Fanatec wheels on Playstation 4 and the Fanatec wheels on Playstation 5) As for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X, if you don’t have a wheel compatible with those platforms, you won’t be able to use this basic model either.

We also noted that the Fanatec Clubsport V2.5 model was less plug’n play than the other models of the brand. Its installation and configuration are not really simple and the update of the database must be done by a PC. It should also be noted that Fanatec did not include a French manual with this model. If you don’t speak English or German, you may get a little lost in the instructions.

We were also a little disappointed by the noise of the Clubsport V2.5 from Fanatec. Indeed, the fan can be quite noisy when the temperature of the engine increases and it is inevitably a bit annoying. First for you if you don’t play with headphones, but also for those around you.

The Fanatec Clubsport V2.5 base is normally sold at 549,95 €, but this base is unfortunately no longer available for sale on the Fanatec website.

The German manufacturer Fanatec having chosen to sell its products exclusively on its website, your only way to get this model is to buy it second hand.
