First of all, the biggest advantage of the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One is its quality-price ratio. Because this model is available at a really interesting price compared to the competing models! And that doesn’t stop it from being a quality joystick that has a lot going for it. In our opinion, this is the model that offers the best value for money on the market today.

And the quality of construction of the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One is another advantage of this joystick. Its finishes and plastic package are of very good quality, and we also found its keys to be very nice. It offers a very good grip and its general design is also very successful. Thanks to the small anti-slip pads on each block, this model also offers very good stability during play.

We were also seduced by all the settings and adaptability of the T.Flight Hotas One joystick from Thrustmaster. The fact that you can adjust and boost the resistance of the joystick thanks to the knob located under it is a real asset, as is the fact that you can put the two blocks together or separate them depending on your preferences or the playing space you have.

The sensations offered by the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One really impressed us. The movement on all the axes is fluid and precise which causes a real immersion. The feel and handling of this joystick is incomparable to that of a traditional gamepad! This model was clearly designed to be used with games like Elite Dangerous and it offers hours of truly immersive play.

Finally, we really appreciate that the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One is completely Plug & Play. For its installation, nothing could be easier, any beginner who has never used a joystick can do it in a few seconds. No need to download updates or spend hours configuring anything, just connect it to your PC or Xbox and it works instantly.

Its disadvantages

If the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One pleasantly surprised us with its many advantages, we also found that it had some disadvantages

First of all, what we have a problem with the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas Oneis the the limited number of games that support its use on the Xbox console. As much on PC, you will have no problem, as much on Xbox, you may quickly have done the tour of the games with which you can use it. It can be a bit of a shame to invest in a product like this only to end up using it with a game or two.

Secondly, we found that the cable of the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas Ones is a bit short. Not everyone may feel the same way we do about this, but we do feel that depending on the setup and play space you have in your home, this can be problematic. The fact that the cable is only 1.5m long is something you really need to consider before you decide to buy this joystick.

We also found it a real shame that the sensitivity of the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One throttle is not adjustable. At the price where this joystick is sold, it is clear that we cannot benefit from all the possible options, even if we would have appreciated this adjustment option. Especially since we noticed that the throttle was quite heavy.

On second hand websites like Le Bon Coin, you can find this model at even lower prices. However, we do not recommend buying a used joystick. If you choose to do so anyway, be very careful and check the conditions to avoid possible scams.

If you’re tempted by a Hotas setup, but don’t want to spend a fortune, the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One is an ideal model to try out the flight simulation controls.

Its handling is easy, its quality-price ratio is unbeatable and this joystick guarantees you long hours of play with incredible sensations.

Be careful though, if you plan to use it on Xbox, make sure it is compatible with the games you want to play.
