The Formula 1 season is in full swing, and fans of this motorsport discipline have been waiting for some time for the latest news on EA’s sim-racing title F1 24. On April 30, the American firm unveiled a 13-minute trailer, featuring Spa Francorchamps, Monaco, Losail and Silverstone to whet our appetites.

There are many new features, including the latest changes to real-life tracks. With F1 24, virtual drivers will now be able to say they’re actually racing on the world’s F1 circuits, in near-perfect reproduction.

The trailer shows some rather unfavorable weather conditions, with rain affecting the handling of the single-seaters. The graphics have also been enhanced, with dynamic water droplets on the car. What’s more, the graphics engine has been reworked to make the physics of the cars much more realistic, which will have an impact on your driving and strategy too, emphasizing dynamism and realism.

Other changes have been made to the game, including an all-new career mode, promising greater immersion in the skin of a Formula 1 driver. However, we don’t have any more details on this, and we’ll have to wait a little longer, most certainly with the release of the game.

This new sim-racing title will be available on May 31, 2024 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5. Personally, I’d have bet that this game would only be released on Next Gen consoles and PC, but EA/Codemasters don’t seem to want to let go of the older consoles, which might indicate that the game’s graphics engine hasn’t changed and/or evolved that much from the 2023 edition of the game. That remains to be seen when the title is released.
