Thermaltake, the renowned manufacturer of PC cooling systems, caused quite a stir at the latest Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The prestigious brand presented its latest technological innovations in car racing and flight simulation, sure to delight video game enthusiasts.

The G6 racing wheel pack

Known for its expertise in the cooling and performance of computer hardware, Thermaltake has also been making a name for itself in recent years with its gaming and immersive simulation equipment. We were delighted to discover their brand-new G6 pack, comprising a racing wheel, a direct-drive motor and three metal pedals.

This pack offers cutting-edge technology for all simulation racing fans looking for even more thrills and a complete immersive gaming experience. The motor in the G6 pack is a direct-drive motor. This means it is directly connected to the steering wheel axle. This allows players to experience all the sensations of real sports driving. With a torque of 6 Nm, the well-designed steering wheel provides powerful force feedback. This is a 13-inch steering wheel. As with racing car steering wheels, it also features paddle shifters. This means that the player can quickly and easily change gears without having to take his hands off the wheel. What’s more, this steering wheel can be easily removed thanks to a race-quality quick-release system. The three pedals are made of steel. They consist of a brake, gas pedal and clutch. They can be adjusted to suit the user’s morphology and enhance comfort.

Thermaltake’s G6 pack is scheduled for release in April 2025 and is estimated to cost around $519.99.

The GM5 3DOF motion system

For 2025, Thermaltake has decided to spoil us even more with its GM5 3DOF motion system. With this equipment, Thermaltake radically transforms the simulation experience for gamers. In fact, this system aims to faithfully reproduce the real-life movements of racing vehicles or aircraft. The GM5 3DOF will therefore enhance the immersion experience by simulating the slightest vibrations, jolts and displacements felt when driving a sports car or piloting an aircraft.

In terms of its main features, the GM5 3DOF motion system is fairly lightweight. In fact, it weighs just 27 kilos, making it easy to handle and install. With a control frequency of up to 1000 Hz and a low latency of < 5 ms, this system provides real-time response. It is also capable of reproducing with finesse and precision the movements experienced under various road or flight conditions. The GM5 3DOF is compatible with Thermaltake’s GR500 and GF500 cockpits. Finally, it incorporates advanced SimTools software to support the latest game releases.

The GM5 3DOF motion system is scheduled for release in March 2025. Its price will be $3,999.99.

With these two new products, Thermaltake pushes back the boundaries of immersion in sports racing and flight simulations even further. The G6 steering wheel pack and GM5 3DOF motion simulator are likely to engage all our senses and have a real emotional impact on our gaming experience.
