Fanatec has just made the public beta version of its new application available to users of its equipment. The aim of this application is to simplify the process of configuring and managing Fanatec equipment.

Why test the Fanatec public beta?

Until now, users of Fanatec sim racing hardware had to use two separate programs, FanaLab and the Fanatec Control Panel, to customize advanced settings on the one hand, and to update firmware and basic device parameters on the other. Installing and configuring these two programs was sometimes complex, especially for beginners. What’s more, navigating between the two didn’t really allow for smooth platform management.

To make the player’s experience more pleasant and efficient, Fanatec has decided to combine the functionalities of these two programs into a single application. This new application will include all FanaLab and Fanatec Control Panel functions. The aim is to facilitate installation and better manage the parameters of equipment such as steering wheels, pedals and shifters. Updates will also be automated, so players will no longer have to do them manually.

The beta version of the Fanatec application is already available for download. As this is the first stage in the development of the application, it may present some minor bugs. Fanatec invites its users to share their feedback with us, so that we can improve the application and enrich it with useful new features.
