Black Friday at Simlab: 10% off flagship products!

Sim Racer

E-sport driver & Sim Racing enthusiast, I decided to share my passion on this website.

November heralds the promotional season, and Simlab is kicking off the ball. The Dutch sim-racing chassis manufacturer is world-renowned for its high-quality products, often sold at competitive prices. But that’s not all, because behind the quality lies an aspect that characterizes the brand: the high modularity of its solutions.

In case you haven’t heard, Simlab is the official partner of Mercedes-AMG Petronas, the Formula 1 team that won the constructors’ championship on numerous occasions when Lewis Hamilton was at the wheel. Well, that’s not really the case any more, due to a number of problems, but that’s not the point. What we’re interested in is the sale! And Simlab is offering a 10% discount on a selection of products.

Simlab chassis

We start with a Simlab staple, its GT1 chassis in Evo and Pro versions. These two cockpits from the Dutch brand are very popular in sim-racing. The use of aluminum extrusions for the entire structure gives the GT1 Evo/Pro rigidity and stability, even withstanding the torque of the most powerful Direct Drive bases on the market.

Another point worth mentioning is the modularity of the cockpits. All chassis currently sold by Simlab are highly modular, and the Dutch brand’s entry-level range is no exception. The GT1 Evo and Pro can be configured as you wish, and boast a high level of compatibility with sim-racing solutions currently available on the market. Just make sure you choose your Direct Drive baseplates carefully, so there are no surprises once they’ve been delivered. I can also mention the ease with which Simlab chassis can be assembled. It’s time-consuming, yes, but easy, especially with clear, precise manuals.

Let’s finish with the price. The GT1 Evo is reduced from €450 to just over €400, and the Pro from €650 to around €590. You should know that Simlab chassis are sold barebone, i.e. without seat or other accessories. But don’t worry, the brand offers other discounts on its catalog!

Simlab seats

To complete its offer on GT1 chassis, Simlab has applied the 10% promotion to a selection of bucket seats for both GT and F1 sim-racing categories. Simlab’s range of seats is pretty comprehensive, I must say, with partnerships with Sparco. As far as I’m concerned, it’s still the best way to configure a sim-racing chassis, but beware, as the bill can easily climb to over €1,000 if you tick all the boxes.

Simlab doesn’t just offer hardware to sit on, but also sim-racing peripherals. In reality, it’s not much compared with Fanatec or Simagic, but it’s better than nothing. It means more potential customers looking for products from the same brand. In the same spirit of sales, Simlab applied the 10% discount to its XP1 crankset crankset and XB1 handbrake.

XP1 crankset

The XP1 is an all-metal Load Cell pedalboard, available in 2 or 3 pedal configurations. The structure is very solid, adapting perfectly to any chassis. What’s more, the settings are superb, giving you an excellent riding position and immersive, high-level sensations.

XB1 handbrake

For the XB1 handbrake, it’s more or less the same story: elegant design, rear-wheel braking performance and excellent rigidity. Simlab’s handbrake looks good on paper, but it’s not great on setting, and that’s what undermines its popularity in some setups.

These two sim-racing peripherals are currently 10% off at Simlab if you’d like to round off your gift list with a treat (the XP1 at around €580, the XB1 at around €180). We all know you deserve a sim-racing rig.
