Free delivery at Fanatec? Here’s what you need to know

On February 6, 2025, sim-racing giant Fanatec announced that its entire product range, excluding Express deliveries and equipment repair services, would be delivered free of charge.

This free delivery has often been carried out by Fanatec, but typically during promotional periods such as Black Friday. But it would seem that the German firm, which has been under the Corsair umbrella for some 6 months now, wants to bypass these formalities and apply free delivery to its entire range of sim-racing products, peripherals and accessories, in order to simplify life for racers, who will no longer have to make calculations and extrapolations to determine the cost of deliveries. In a way, this is understandable, as many people first want to know how much it will cost to deliver an item before buying it. And we all know that Direct Drive bases are heavy, which will inevitably have an impact on the price of their delivery by carriers.

Free delivery, in return for a “readjustment” of product prices

Well, it’s all in the title. It’s true that Fanatec offers free delivery on its entire range of sim-racing peripherals and accessories, but the price of certain products is impacted.

On the post announcing this, we read that currently all Fanatec steering wheels have gone QR2, something the brand had hoped to achieve by 2024. This has now become possible, and it is this, according to Fanatec, that explains the rise in steering wheel prices.

That’s fine with me, as long as I can get a Podium DD2 delivered free of charge. By the way, this base is back in stock.
