We have tested the Thrustmaster Eswap X Pro Controller and this allowed us to determine what were its advantages which we’ll tell you about now.

First of all, we found that the Thrustmaster eSwap X Pro controller was very aestheticwith a high-end look. Its elegant design and feel are refined and it shows in the ribbed materials. There is no doubt about the superior quality of the model. It also has a comfortable weight: not so heavy that it causes tension or discomfort, nor so light that it feels fragile or cheap.

Then, one of the big advantages of the the Thrustmaster Eswap X Pro Controller in our opinion, is its customization system. It allows you to swap out up to nine modular parts to adjust the look and, sometimes, the feel of the controller. The analog sticks and the D-pad, placed in semi-circular blocks, can be removed and exchanged. The caps on the analog sticks unscrew, allowing you to put on alternative shapes, and two side panels on the handles allow you to swap them for new ones. Finally, the triggers can also be replaced. In terms of customization, this model is truly amazing.

We were also seduced by the high-end feel of the Thrustmaster Eswap X Pro Controller. Once in hand, the controller’s wide, curved design makes it comfortable to hold for long periods of time, and its analog sticks have a firm, springy feel. Its perfectly round buttons are slightly small, but operate quickly with a pleasant click. It is a model that is very pleasant to use and has the advantage of offering both versatility and flexibility.

Finally, we found that the Thrustmaster Eswap X Pro Controller offered us a very practical and easy-to-use software: the Thrustmapper. Indeed, the latter is crucial to get the best game performance with the controller. It also allows you to remap the buttons and take full advantage of the extra back buttons. It’s a great additional weapon to improve yourself in any game.

Its disadvantages

If we could appreciate the many advantages of the Thrustmaster Eswap X Pro Controllercontroller, we also discovered that this controller has a number ofdisadvantages.

First of all, although this is clearly no surprise to us, the fact that the Thrustmaster Eswap X Pro Controller is not wireless is, in our opinion, a negative point. We would obviously have preferred this model to be cable-free to get the most out of it, but unfortunately this is not the case.

Secondly, we found that the Thrustmaster Eswap X Pro Controller is quite bulky and is not really light. With a weight of about 320 grams, this is a detail that may not please all types of players.

What’s more, the Thrustmaster Eswap X Pro Controller is not the cheapest controller on the market. Even though it offers many advantages and is of very good quality, at a price of €179.99 on the Thrustmaster online store, it cannot be said to be a budget model. Indeed, it remains an expensive product and is therefore unfortunately not accessible to everyone.

Finally, we didn’t particularly like the vibration, too intense and a bit strange, of the Eswap X Pro Controller from Thrustmaster. The intensity is sometimes so high that it seemed to us more like a rumbling than a classic vibration. In games like Forza Horizon, this may surprise you and unfortunately, not in a good way. To keep this from being too annoying, you can adjust the controller settings via Thrustmaster’s software, but be aware that the result will not be perfect.
