Pimax has launched its Summer Carnival 2026, and for a simracer eyeing one of the brand’s headphones, the most interesting offer isn’t necessarily a knockout price. It’s the DMAS audio strap, offered with every single Crystal headset purchased.
Usually sold separately, the DMAS attaches directly to the headset to provide a high-quality, integrated audio solution. Its free inclusion, on both Crystal Light and Crystal Super, changes the financial calculation considerably, provided you don’t opt for a pre-established bundle.
Prices: what you need to know
On the price front, Pimax is applying a number of strategic price cuts. Here are the highlights of the event:
- Crystal Light : 899 $. The gateway to the range. Ideal for entering the Pimax universe with excellent resolution and a wide field of vision, two crucial assets in sim racing for reading the track in the distance.
- Crystal Super QLED : $1,599 (instead of the usual $1,799).
- Crystal Super 8K Micro-OLED : 2 199 $. The very top of the range for image purists.
Trade-in bonus for old helmets
If you’ve got an old VR headset gathering dust in your closet, Pimax is offering an $80 trade-in bonus, applicable on the purchase of a Crystal Light or Crystal Super. As the exact list of eligible models is not detailed on the promotional page, it’s essential to check the conditions directly on the Pimax site before validating your basket. The idea is clear: to ease users’ transition to the current generation.
Integration of the Dream Air range
The more recent Dream Air models are also included. For these helmets, Pimax offers an official lens mount and applies a 50% discount on the DMAS. Prices have now been set: expect to pay $899 for the Dream Air SE, while the classic Dream Air (equipped with Sony Micro-OLED lenses) is priced at $1,999.
For whom? (And the usual reservations)
If you’re looking to maximize resolution and field of view for automotive simulation, the Crystal Light with DMAS on offer is an option to consider very seriously. Nevertheless, keep these two points in mind before you check out:
Raw power : these headsets require an extremely solid PC. Not a recommended purchase if your current configuration is already showing VR limitations.
Taxes : prices are quoted in dollars and exclude taxes. You will need to convert the sum and add VAT and any local import taxes, which will inflate the final bill in euros. The final price for your region will be displayed during checkout.
The Summer Carnival sales run until July 10, 2026, which leaves plenty of time for budgeting.
